The University closed. The Photography department closed. Lectures cancelled. The shops closed. The restaurants closed. The schools closed. The flights cancelled. The trains cancelled.
I had come home before the next day my mum’s birthday and Lockdown from Portsmouth to Lewes. I was busy to do my course works. I have been checking my sister since she couldn’t come home from Glasgow.
My mum and I walked to Southdown/ near Brighton road, Lewes. It was quiet and peaceful. I barely saw people walked by. It was a lovely walk. It was better than sitting and do work all day. While I was walking, I saw the beautiful views, and I took photos of it.
The shops were closed, and some businesses were officially closed. Fewer people were there and very quietly and empty.
I took a bus with my mum and it was less than 5 of us on the bus. There were sign saying keep apart 2 metres social distancing everyhwere on the seats.
I was in the queue with my mum outside the Supermarket. It was a bit long time. We had to wait for our turn and also keep apart 2 metres social distancing. When we went inside, we had to follow the arrows either on the ground or in front of us. It was hard to find the things that we wanted. Either Some of them were out or empty. I knew that I heard most people use many toilet papers. We didn’t buy that because we had enough at home.
It was hard not going out, meeting friends and family. But I always check on my family and friends to make sure if they’re okay and safe. And I checked with my hall because my belongings are still there.
I always get busy to work on my uni assignments for the deadlines. I decided to take photos when I went out to walk, supermarkets and in my garden which I did.
I don't know when is it going to end the lockdown, COVID-19. But I had been patience and get busy as long as try not to get worried. I hope everyone is safe no matter. When it's over, I know that it won't be normal as before but it will take time.
